May Edochie’s lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, has stepped down from handling her case against her ex-husband, Yul Edochie.
The lawyer said he could no longer continue because of the way some of May’s fans treated him and his team. According to him, the bullying and online insults from May’s supporters, also known as the “May Nation,” were worse than anything they received from Yul’s camp.
In a statement, Emeka Ugwuonye said the constant attacks made it difficult to work properly. He explained that the environment created by some of May’s followers was too hostile, making it impossible to give her the best legal help.
He also mentioned that his staff faced serious abuse online, which affected their work and well-being.
The lawyer revealed that he plans to take legal action against one popular online bully believed to be connected to May’s supporters.
Emeka Ugwuonye ended by saying that while he wanted to help May Edochie, the negative actions of some of her followers made it too hard to continue.
