- Commence a Distinct Boarding School next academic session
In a grand and colourful ceremony, TEEVES International Schools, Uyo, celebrated the send-forth of her maiden SS3 graduating class, marking a major milestone in the institution’s young but impressive journey.
The well-attended event drew dignitaries, parents, community leaders, and education stakeholders who gathered to witness the formal transition of the school’s pioneer senior students into the next phase of their academic pursuits.
In her address, the Director of TEEVES International Schools, Mrs Okon highlighted the remarkable achievements recorded by the institution within just four years of its establishment. These included the successful accreditation by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO), and a standout performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), where one of the students scored an impressive 320.
“This event is more than a graduation—it is a celebration of vision, hard work, and our unrelenting commitment to excellence,” the Director stated. “In four years, TEEVES has moved from a vision to a verifiable success story.”

As part of its continuous growth and expansion, the school management used the opportunity to announce a new boarding facility different from the day school set to commence operation in the coming academic session. According to the director, the boarding school will run separately from day school, thereby offering parents and guardians a flexible choice tailored to their family needs.
In a move aimed at giving back to the community and further supporting students, TEEVES also announced two key educational initiatives: a free two-week summer lesson programme open to all students, and a robust extension program specifically for SS3 students throughout the long vacation.
The high point of the ceremony was the recognition of the school’s best graduating student and valedictorian, Master Jireh Henry Akpan.
In his emotional yet confident speech, he expressed deep appreciation to the management and staff of the school for shaping his academic journey and character.
“TEEVES has not only given me knowledge but has built in me discipline, vision, and the courage to dream. I promise to keep the flag of this great institution flying high,” he declared.
The event also featured goodwill messages from distinguished guests. Former Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Education and current Delivery Advisor to the Governor on Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet, described TEEVES as “a school built on solid moral foundations,” and lauded its swift rise to academic excellence. She recounted how the school represented the state in an international academic competition held in Singapore, stepping in when excellence was needed most.
Hon. Uduak Ufot, member representing Etinan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, and The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Brand Management and Marketing, Mr. Raphael Edem, congratulated the graduating class and urged them to uphold the values instilled in them by the school.
The colourful send-forth ceremony also featured special presentations by the graduating students, including music among others. The event climaxed with the unveiling of the edition of the TEEVES School Magazine, a student-led publication reflecting the school’s academic, extracurricular, and cultural milestones.
As the curtains drew on the memorable day, it was evident that TEEVES International Schools has not only made its mark in academic excellence but is steadily building a legacy of character, innovation, and community impact.
