The suspects are set to spend Christmas and New Year in custody as authorities enforce the executive order banning public masquerade displays on major roads. The move underscores the police’s commitment to cracking down on related offenses and maintaining public order during the festive season.
The arrests come on the heels of Effiong’s arraignment, signaling a broader police push to curb masquerade activities in the state in line with the directive of His Excellency Governor Umo Eno.
