Very Dark Man to ObI Cubana – ‘Watch Your Back’

Posted on May 1, 2025

Social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM) has issued a warning to prominent businessman Obi Cubana, cautioning him to be vigilant due to an alleged EFCC investigation.

In a video shared on his Instagram handle, he stated that Obi Cubana is a primary target, more than E-Money, who was recently arrested and released on bail over alleged Naira abuse.

VDM’s warning is based on the information that the EFCC has been questioning young men arrested in Abuja about their connections to Obi Cubana. According to the social media activist, these individuals are being asked if they know Obi Cubana and if they have had any transactions with him. He further advised Obi Cubana to exercise extreme caution, suggesting that the EFCC is planning action against him.

During the same video, VDM took the opportunity to apologize to the Yoruba community for any perceived tribal bias in his previous statements. He had suggested that the EFCC was targeting Igbo individuals, by a previous arrest of people like Eazi, Apala and E-moni while seemingly ignoring others, like the billionaire Okaya’s son, who allegedly violated the same Naira note laws without consequence. VDM’s apology aims to clarify his position and show respect to those who may have felt unfairly targeted by his comments.

Despite past difference between Very Dark Man and Obi Cubana on his 50th birthday, VDM’s recent warning to Obi Cubana appears to be a genuine attempt to alert him to potential danger
