Speaking with intensity and pain, he described the massacre as a reflection of a broken nation and urged Nigerians to wake up to the truth that lasting change will not come from the government, but from the people themselves.

Femi took to his social media platforms to speak out on the killings in Benue State that saw over 200 innocent citizens, including women and children, gruesomely murdered. The tragedy, which has sparked sorrow across the country, touched the heart of Pastor Femi Lazarus, who described it as not just a local crisis but a national shame. He expressed dismay at how many Nigerians have grown numb to such bloodshed, even as the land is soaked in innocent blood.

Heartbroken by the state of the nation, Pastor Femi poured out a fierce and heartfelt prayer:
“Father, we are not giving them room for repentance, judge them. We plead the case of the blood that has been shed in Benue, avenge it Lord. Because they love blood, feed them with their children’s blood, on the floor as if they were slaughtered rams.”
He lamented that a country where 200 people can be killed overnight with no war and no accountability is already walking a dangerous path. According to him, “Those who did it shouldn’t survive under 24 hours. The people themselves must change their taste buds. You can’t ignore this and expect everything to be fine.”

The Pastor further warned that what happened in Benue is only a sign of what is to come if the nation doesn’t change its ways. He said God showed him that a similar fate is coming for the entire Nigeria unless there is true repentance and change. “It is a gradual slope,” he said. “They do it, and run back, then regroup and strike again. And we keep adjusting. We’re getting used to evil.”

Concluding his message, Pastor Femi gave a wake-up call to every Nigerian.
“Any nation that got better, it is the people who rose to build it. Politicians will not change this nation. They only have one ambition; to remain in power.”
He urged the youth to rise up, reject manipulation through poverty and entertainment distractions, and start building a better future for themselves. “Start bridging the gap by ourselves, not churches flaunting wealth while the people suffer,” he added.
