According to Kukah, Obasanjo challenged him, saying he heard Kukah didn’t believe in rapture. Kukah, a Catholic priest, clarified that he believes “anyday God calls you, that’s your rapture”.

The conversation took place at Obasanjo’s hill house in Abeokuta, where Kukah decided to put Obasanjo to the test. “Do you believe in rapture?” Kukah asked. Obasanjo replied, “Yes, I believe in rapture.” Kukah then requested Obasanjo’s farm papers in Ota and house keys, saying, “When the Lord comes to carry all of you, I know I’ll still be here.” Obasanjo hesitated, indicating that wasn’t what he meant.
