Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, has stirred excitement online after showing off his brand-new luxury car; a McLaren Senna. The car, which is said to be worth a staggering ₦3.5 billion, was delivered to his home in Lagos.

This happened in early June 2025, and videos of the delivery and his first drive through Lagos streets quickly went viral. The Grammy-winning singer got the car to expand his already impressive collection and didn’t waste time taking it for a spin.

The McLaren Senna is known worldwide as one of the most elite sports cars, and Burna Boy’s version is no exception. According to reports, the luxury automobile arrived freshly delivered, and fans got to witness the moment it was brought into the artist’s Lagos mansion. In videos circulating online, Burna could be seen taking the high-performance ride out for a cruise, confidently navigating the streets of Lagos while fans and onlookers cheered. The news of Burna Boy’s extravagant purchase quickly took over social media platforms, with fans and celebrities reacting to his latest acquisition. Many praised the “City Boy” crooner for his success and lavish lifestyle, referring to him as “Odogwu” and “Highest.” Comments poured in from admirers who said they were inspired by his achievements. Others joked about the cost of the car, while some simply expressed admiration, saying they hoped to “tap from his grace.”

Burna Boy also made headlines recently for acquiring a Tesla Cybertruck, which he reportedly gifted to his close friend, King Manny. The truck, estimated to be worth about $165,000 (approximately ₦280.5 million), came wrapped in protective nylon, showing it was brand new. A video even showed his team packing bags of rice into the Cybertruck, reportedly for distribution to the less privileged. Burna also took the opportunity to throw shade at other artists, suggesting that while others only talk about owning Cybertrucks, he had already bought one and made it visible. This move once again proved his bold personality and cemented his place as one of the most flamboyant stars in Africa.
