Easter Celebration: FG Declares 2-Day Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate Good Friday and Easter Monday. Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement, urging Christians to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love, and redemption that define the Easter celebration.

The Minister emphasized the importance of embodying the virtues displayed by Jesus Christ and encouraged Nigerians to extend love and goodwill to their neighbors through acts of kindness and generosity. He also called on citizens to pray for the nation’s peace, unity, and stability during the holiday period.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo reassured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at fostering national growth and development. The Minister wished all Christians a blissful Easter celebration and extended warm holiday greetings to all Nigerians.
