Paul Pogba in Tears As He Signs New Contract With French Club AS Monaco

Posted on June 28, 2025

Paul Pogba, prolific footballer just back from a ban has signed a two-season deal with French side AS Monaco.

In the pictures available to the media Pogba is all emotional as he pens the new deal that is set to revive his football career.

Although details of the deal is yet to be public the former Manchester United player is all emotional having been out of play for alleged doping offense

Paul Pogba’s two-season deal with AS Monaco after overcoming a doping ban that nearly derailed his career seems to be a big win for him.

Recall that Pogba tested positive for testosterone after Juventus’ game against Udinese on August 20, 2023. He was provisionally suspended in September 2023 and later handed a four-year ban from football in February 2024.

Fortunately for Pogba, his ban was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, allowing him to return to competitive football in March 2025.

Pogba’s emotional reaction to signing with AS Monaco is understandable, given the challenges he faced during his ban. The 31-year-old French midfielder has been working hard to revive his career.

Contract Details: According to AS Monaco’s statement, Pogba has signed a two-season deal, tying him to the club until June 30, 2027.

Pogba before his ban was a key player for Juventus and the French national team, winning the World Cup in 2018. His ban was a significant setback to his hitherto successful football career but his determined come back to the game seems to offer a bright future for the French man.
