The Federal Government has officially postponed the commencement date for the 2025 recruitment into key paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior. The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) confirmed in a statement on Wednesday night that the nationwide recruitment exercise, initially slated to begin on Thursday, June 26, 2025, will now commence on Monday, July 14, 2025.
According to the CDCFIB, this change affects the recruitment process for four major paramilitary services:
-
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
-
Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
-
Federal Fire Service (FFS)
Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS)
The Board emphasized that the official recruitment portal for the exercise remains: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng It further warned applicants to beware of fraudulent platforms, noting that all applications are completely free of charge and do not require any form of payment at any stage of the process.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to notify the general public that its recruitment portal, earlier slated to open on Thursday, 26th June 2025, will now open on Monday, 14th July 2025,” the statement read.
The Board urged applicants and members of the public to take note of the new date and disregard any contrary information circulating online or offline. It also expressed sincere regret over any inconvenience the shift may cause and extended its appreciation for the public’s patience and understanding.
This update comes just days after the CDCFIB officially announced the upcoming recruitment drive into the four major paramilitary outfits. The delay, while unexplained in the statement, is expected to ensure a smoother and more transparent recruitment process once it begins.
